Agricultural web design and editorial services

Born and brought up on a small holding in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, where my father was the NFU Secretary, I have worked within the agricultural industry at all levels throughout my career. I have been fortunate to have worked in administration, publicity and development, with some of the major cattle and sheep breed societies, representing them to National and International level and I am currently the secretary of The Black Welsh Mountain Sheep Breeders Association.

My career has enabled me to gain experience in many fields including editorial, design and promotional work for the Press, agricultural organisations and individual farmers. As the main organiser of the 2008 World Simmental Congress I also became heavily involved in event organising and continue my involvement with overseas farmers by acting as an agricultural tour guide for overseas groups.

Away from farming I enjoy singing which I use as a vehicle to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support and joined with a love of the works of Robert Burns, I am regularly involved in entertaining at Burns Suppers and weddings.

I now work on a freelance basis in all of these fields and in particular on web design for pedigree breeders in conjunction with the professional agricultural web design company Pedigree Farmer.
